This high power, low-noise, audiophile-class Preamplifier effortlessly provides, distortion-free, high-gain signal from your Phono cartridge to your audio amplifier. The VP3 is fully user-customisable and suitable for both Moving Magnet (MM) and Moving Coil (MC) Phono cartridges - with rear panel mounted user configurable dip switches for both resistive and capacitive loading; ensuring a clean, pure signal path from your turntable to audio amplifier. Up to two turntables can be connected to the VP3 at once and switched between. Mono sources are also accommodated. Power and function selection is accessible via front panel touch control or remotely via trigger input. Available in Anodised Silver / Black or custom hand-painted finishes with optional Rack Mounting Kit. Fully configurable

The VP3 Phono preamplifier incorporates 36 rear-mounted, user-configurable, mechanical dip switches to provide maximum flexibility and versatility allowing precise adjustment of the VP3 to match the gain and loading requirements of the users chosen phono cartridge.

Dual connection

The VP3 Phono preamplifier can accommodate the simultaneous connection of two turntables. One pair of VP3 inputs can be assigned to use a Moving Magnet (MM) or high output Moving Coil cartridge (MC) and the second VP3 input pair can be set up for a low output Moving Coil (MC) cartridge. Possible options are: 1 x Moving Magnet (MM) turntable and 1 x low output Moving Coil (MC) turntable. 1 x High output Moving Coil (MC) turntable and 1 x low output Moving Coil (MC) turntable.

Touch panel control

The VP3 features a unique, stylish, touch-sensitive control panel capable of switching the unit in and out of standby or selection of Moving Coil (MC) / Moving Magnet (MM) or Mono modes.

Compatibility

The VP3 is compatible with both high / low output Moving Coil (MC) and Moving Magnet (MM) phono cartridges.

Normal RIAA or IEC RIAA Equalisation Profiles

User-configurable, rear-mounted mechanical dip switches provide the user with the ability to select between normal RIAA and IEC RIAA equalisation profiles.

Low distortion

The VP3 generates a diminutive Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) figure of only 0.002% at 1KHZ @ rated output, providing a clean, clear and precise reproduction of vinyl recordings.

Balanced and unbalanced outputs

The VP3 phono preamplifier features both balanced (XLR) and unbalanced (RCA) analog audio output pairs. Both balanced and unbalanced output pairs can be used simultaneously without interference or degradation in signal performance.

High Power internal power supply

The VP3 features a high power, shielded toroidal transformer with shunt voltage regulation and filtering, providing high levels of transparency, musical detail and dynamics.

Fully mirrored internal layout

The internal layout has been laid out in full mirror fashion to ensure maximum channel separation and minimal system noise.

Trigger input

The VP3 can be remotely switched in and out of standby using a remote trigger input located on the units rear panel.

Mono capability

The VP3 Phono preamplifier accepts signal from mono recordings, selected from the front mounted touch panel.
