Mutech is a highly specialised Japanese phono cartridge manufacturer built around the analogue engineering philosophy of R.M. Kanda, one of the more respected and innovative figures in moving coil cartridge development. Unlike conventional iron-core moving coil designs, the yokeless structure is engineered to reduce magnetic resistance and improve electromagnetic efficiency, contributing to extremely low internal impedance, improved transient response, and unusually strong signal output for a moving coil cartridge.
