KLH is one of the great heritage names in American Hi-Fi, founded in 1957 by legendary audio designer Henry Kloss alongside Malcolm Low and Josef Hofmann in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Before founding KLH, Henry Kloss had already helped shape the history of home audio through his work at Acoustic Research, where the acoustic suspension loudspeaker helped redefine what compact speakers were capable of achieving in domestic listening rooms.

Following KLH, Kloss would later go on to establish further iconic American audio companies including Advent Corporation and Tivoli Audio, cementing his reputation as one of the most influential figures in consumer audio history.
